Our goal is to bring entrepreneurs, artists, and design professionals together for a fun, networking opportunity. This event is for those who love Detroit and would like to come together to make a difference in the community.

Event Outline

Mix & Mingle 6-6:45pm

Pre-registered participants can sign in during this time, tour the cafe and enjoy music, while having a drink

Introductions 6:45-7pm

Discuss purpose behind event; Explain 'Speed Networking' exercise

Speed Networking Exercise 7pm-8pm

The format for this portion of the event will be similar to the 'speed dating' concept, where participants are organized into a fast-paced networking exercise.

The participants will be divided into 2 groups; the first group will consist of "more experienced" entrepreneurs, artists, design professionals, etc. This group will be assigned to a table or station within the cafe and will remain at their assigned station during the networking exercise.

The second group will consist of "up and coming" entrepreneurs, artists, design students, etc. This group will rotate during the networking exercise.

Each person in the second group will start at a table/station, and will be asked to rotate every 5 minutes, with 2 minutes to wrap up discussion and transition. The buzz in the room will be exciting and fast-paced. During this activity participants should be able to meet at least 8 people they do not know.

During this portion of the event, there will be open networking and discussions.

Participants will be encouraged to meet those they did not meet during the formal networking exercise or continue discussions from networking activity. Participants can enjoy cocktails, music and other light refreshments
